An Important Air Conditioning Tip

Check out this easy tip to keep your equipment running smoothly

One easy way to prolong the life of your Air Conditioning system is to make sure you keep the area around the outside equipment free of debris. If debris does find a way into the condenser, it could cause damage to the equipment.

With the warmer weather arriving, there are more things to keep away from your condenser to ensure it is operating at 100%.

Some things to look out for:

  • Trees or Shrubbery – Be sure to trim back any branches, leaves, bushes, or shrubs that are growing close to the condenser.
  • Grass Clippings – When you mow your lawn, make sure to aim grass clippings away from the condenser.
  • Leaves– When the seasons change and the trees start losing their leaves, try to keep the condenser clear of these leaves. If you are no longer using your air conditioner for the season, buy a cover to keep it protected until you are ready to use it.
  • Sunny Areas – If possible, provide some shade near your condenser. Cooler air near your condenser can help increase efficiency and prolong equipment life.
